NEW APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
We have been reviewing our appointment system and are making some changes, which we hope will improve the availability of our doctors.
we have significantly increased the number of pre-bookable appointments whereby:-
1. A high proportion of appointments are available to pre-book up to 4 weeks in advance.
2. A small proportion of appointments are available to pre-book 48 hours in advance.
A limited number of appointments will be available on the day to cater for emergencies and other unforeseen medical problems. Please note these appointments will be booked with the duty doctor.
Our Nurse Practitioners will continue to have book on the day appointments.
Patients not attending their appointments
If you find you cannot always get the appointment time and date you request please bear in mind ....
THAT....
for the month of March 2008, 114 patients did not attend for their appointment with their Doctor.
This means that a total of 19 hours of your GP's valuable time was wasted, and that patients who perhaps required an appointment were unable to.
If you cannot attend your appointment please let us know so that we can offer it to someone else.
