DISPENSARY NOTICE

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS PLEASE READ

As you may be aware we are having a new computer system installed in June and we need your help to ensure a smooth transition.

If your repeat request will be due between 3rd - 15th June please order early. We are endeavouring to keep production of prescriptions to a minimum during this changeover period. We really appreciate your help with this matter.

Please remember that the telephone service is intended for elderly and housebound patients only.

 

Many of the local surgeries have discontinued their phone service.  Please help us retain ours by not using it unnecessarily.

 

HOW TO ORDER

 

Please use your repeat request form that is attached to your prescription or you can write your request down on a piece of paper, making sure you give us as many details as possible.  You can leave the request in the box provided or use the post-box outside the surgery.  Alternatively you can Fax your request to us on 0844-815-1060, or you can Post your request to us.  We are now offering the service of E-mail prescriptions.  Please allow 48 hours before you collect your prescriptions, and remember we are closed at weekends. Prescriptions put in the post-box at the weekend will not be ready for collection until Tuesday afternoon.

 

PRESCRIPTION CHARGES

 

As from 1st April 2009 Prescription will cost           £7.20 per item.

Pre-payment certificates will cost      £28.25 for 3 months or £104.00 for 12 months.

 

The prescription charge is a contribution to the NHS. It is NOT a payment to the practice.  It bears no relationship to the cost of the medicine.

 

DELIVERY SERVICE

 

We now offer a delivery service to those patients over 60 years and who find it difficult to get to the surgery.  Deliveries will be available on Thursday mornings to Lidlington, Millbrook and surrounding areas and on Friday mornings to Silsoe, Clophill, Maulden and surrounding villages.  If you would like to take advantage of this service please put deliver at the bottom of your repeat request.  Deliveries will not be available Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
